Marshall Tattoo Cabinet.

The Marshall C110T Custom Shop Emily Wood Tattoo Series is a limited edition 1 x 10 inch speaker cabinet. The C110T features Celestion-made G10F speaker.

The Marshall C110-T is manufactured in Bletchley from 12mm birch plywood and jointed with 18mm finger joints for optimum strength and although its a small compact cabinet it provides a roaring sound.

The tattoo artist behind this specific amp head is Emily Wood. She has a 'Neo-Traditional' style and felt this project was perfect for her because of how unique the project was, "I thought it sounded like a cool and original idea. It's always interesting to see tattoo artwork in different places".

Andres Segovia

Andrés Segovia (1893-1987) is considered to be the father of the modern classical gutiar movement by most modern scholars. Many feel, that without his efforts, the classical guitar would still be considered a lowly bar instrument, played only by peasants. Segovia's quest to elevate the guitar to a prominant position in the music world, began at the early age of four. His uncle used to sing songs to him and pretend to strum an imaginary guitar in his lap. Luckily for us, there was a luthier nearby and Segovia took an instant liking to the guitar. Although discouraged by his family (according to them he should play a "real" instrument), he continued to pursure his studies of the guitar. He set a goal for the guitar and himself early in life. It was, to bring Guitar studies to every university in the world, have the guitar played throughout the world, on every major stage, just as the piano and violin were, and lastly, to pass on his love of the guitar to generations to follow. He considerd himself to be the messenger that would complete this impossible quest. He succeeded in all respects. In 1928 Segovia made his American debut in New York City. Before long, composers like Heitor Villa-Lobos even began to compose original pieces specifically for the guitar. Segovia himself began transposing the classical canon for the guitar as well, most notably his notoriously difficult translation of Bach's Chaconne, as well as many transcriptions of lute and harpsichord music. In addition to recording and performing, Segovia spent the remainder of his life and career successfully influencing the authorities at conservatories, academies, and universities to include the guitar in their instruction programs with the same emphasis given the violin, cello and piano; his early struggles were recounted in his 1983 memoir Andres Segovia: An Autobiography of the Years 1893-1920. He died in 1987

Julien Bream

Julian Bream Proclaimed by many students of classical music as the premier guitar and lute virtuoso of the 20th century, Julian Bream was born in London in 1933. After studying at the Royal College of Music, he made his public debut in 1950, quickly winning fame for his technique and mastery of a wide range of musical styles. In 1960, he founded the Julian Bream Consort, an ensemble of original instrument virtuosi which enjoyed astounding success in their chosen oeuvre, greatly revitalizing interest in the music of the Elizabethan era.

John Williams

John Williams was born in Australia in 1941. He began to learn the guitar at the age of four, receiving lessons from his father. When the family moved to London in 1952, he met and studied with Segovia, and on his recommendation entered the Accademia Musicale di Siena in Italy, where he studied on a scholarship for five years. At the request of his fellow students, he received the unprecedented honour of giving the first complete solo recital by a student of any instrument. Back in England he attended the Royal College of Music, where he studied piano and music theory.

Alirio Diaz

Born: November 12, 1923 - Caserio La Candelaria, Venezuela
The Venezuelan guitarist, Alirio Díaz, the eighth of eleven children, was born in Caserio La Candelaria, a small village near Carora in western Venezuela. From childhood he showed a great interest in music. He was taught to play the guitar by one of his uncles and from the age of ten he was capable of playing popular tunes with other amateur musicians. At the age of 15 he followed the famous cecilio Zubilaga to Trujillo, in the Venezuelan Andes, where he studied solfeggio and harmony. At age 16 he ran away from home to Carora, where he sought better schooling. He later went to Trujillo, and studied saxophone and clarinet under Laudelino Mejías while working as a typesetter in a newspaper. He also studied English and typewriting before going to Caracas in 1945 to study the guitar at the Escuela Superior de Musica José Ángel Lamas under Raul Borges.In 1950 the Venezuelan Government awarded Alirio Díaz a scholarship to continue his guitar studies at the Conservatorio in Madrid, under Regino Sainz de la Maza. That same year he performed his first guitar concert in Europe. In 1951 he went to Siena (Italy), seeking to study with Andrés Segovia at the Accademy Chigiana. There he impressed Segovia greatly with his flawless technique and extensive repertoire. Three years later, he progressed to become the assistant and substitute to Segovia (until 1964), and started performing in some of the most prestigious concert halls of Europe.From 1964, his brillant concertistic carrier begins in those years. With the Andrés Segovia's teachings, with the contacts with other important author, as Heitor Villa-Lobos, Lauro and others, with his virtuousity combined to a strong artistic sensibility, Alirio Diaz becomes one of the most famous guitar perfomers in the 20th century. He has concerts in many european nations, in Japan, in the USA, in Australia and he becomes citizen of the world.In 1961, Spanish composer Joaquín Rodrigo's piece Invocación y Danza, dedicated to Alirio Díaz, won the First Prize at the Coupe International de Guitare, awarded by the Office de Radiodiffusion-Télévision Française (ORTF). In turn, Díaz obliged and the next year performed this very difficult solo piece. Due to its many complexities, this particular work is very seldom performed. This was the first of many compositions subsequently dedicated to Alirio Díaz.Tireless divulger oflatin-american musical patrimony (Barrios, Lauro, Mangorè, Sojo, Cordero, Carreño and others), Alirio Díaz checks and several musics by Baroque authors as Scarlatti, Corbetta and V. Galilei, harmonizes popular South-American and napoletan songs giving them a new instrumental and interpretative dress and he records about thirty disks.Alirio Díaz currently teaches in Rome and performs in concert with his son Senio. During the European winter, he usually returns to Venezuela to his native town, La Candelaria. Guest of honour in the greatest guitaristic shows, he partecipates in the Concorso Internazionale di Chitarra Classica di Alessandria since its first edition in 1968, conferring to it prestige and a big emphasis in the giutaristic world's panorama. For his artistic merits and for his human qualities he receives the freedom of Alessandria, great international recognitions and public assignments as cultural counseller at Foreign Office of Venezuela. For several years, a guitar contest named Concurso Internacional de Guitarra Alirio Díaz has been held in his honour in Caracas and other cities in Venezuela (the April 2006 contest was held in Carora), where he often makes appearances.

An acoustic guitarist is walking on the beach when he accidentally kicks a bottle. The cork falls off and out pops a genie.
"Thank you, oh Master for releasing me from my prison of the last 300 years" the genie exclaims, grateful to the acoustic guitarist. "And because of your kindness" the genie continues, "I will grant you three wishes - but I must caution you that whatever you ask for, every electric guitarist in the world will receive double" explains the genie.
"Not a problem" says the acoustic guitarist.
"Very well then, what shall your first wish be, my Master?"
"$10 million in small bills" says the acoustic guitarist unhesitatingly.
"Good choice, Master" and poof! Right there on the beach are piles and piles of $10s and $20s. And of course every electric guitarist in the world now has $20 million in their account.
"And your next wish, Master?"
"A brand new Taylor PS12C Presentation Series Guitar and presto! Right there on the beach is the most beautifully inlayed and superb sounding acoustic guitar he'd ever seen. And of course every electric guitarist now has two of these guitars in their living rooms, knowing of course that they aren't going to know what to do with one, much less two.
"You've made excellent choices thus far, Master. What is your final wish?"
The acoustic guitarist thinks for a minute, rubs his chin, squints at the bright sky, and says, "You know, I've always wanted to donate a kidney..."
